Welcome to the
"The Black Diamonds"
The 740th MSG is a Starfleet Marine Strike Group assigned aboard the USS Inferno. As a MSG, we are part of the 6th Battalion 7th Brigade. Our major unit functions as an Combined Forces unit consisting of two F-26F Eagle fighters and two D-2 Nightmare cloakable dropships and two AH-45 Cheyenne dropships, both with Special Operations Commando teams. Some of our drop ships have cloaks, while others do not. Our Commando teams are qualified and equipped as both Light Infantry and Powered Infantry and we have one Mecha unit. Several of our Commandos have secondary training in either support, medical, maritime operations, or whatever they feel is appropriate to do their job well. We are considering a “Rapid Deployment Force”, so we can be at the scene of any situation and hold our own 'till backup can assist us. The Black Diamonds consist of prior military and persons who enjoy a more military environment within Starfleet. As Marines, we party like Marines at conventions, and we get together for movies nights, Battletech, Mech Warrior, camping trips (warrior weekends) and other activities that interest the group.
